Camellias and Skull Ring

I created this artwork in April 2020 during NZ's first COVID-19 lockdown. 

This still life is about life, and how even when beauty begins to fade or we experience loss, there is still beauty around us if we take the time to look. The petal delicately balanced on the edge of the board is symbolic of the uncertain times we were experiencing.
