Print Sizing Guide
Choosing the right print size
Artwork does more than fill a space — it sets the mood of a room, brings rhythm to a space, and reflects something of who you are. Whether you’re selecting a single piece or curating a gallery wall, size plays an important role in how your artwork feels and fits.
A print that’s too small can feel disconnected or get lost on a large wall. One that’s too large can overwhelm the room. The right size creates balance so the artwork feels considered.

Making Art Feel at Home
A well-chosen artwork brings intention and harmony to a space. It’s not just about matching colours or style — it’s about how the piece interacts with the room around it. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Scale and balance
Artwork should feel proportionate to the wall and the furniture beneath it. Let it complement the space — not disappear into it, or overwhelm it.
One piece or a set
A single print can ground a space with quiet confidence. A pair or series introduces rhythm and movement — perfect for transitional spaces or gallery-style walls.
The mood of the room
Think about the energy of the space. Soft florals may bring calm to a bedroom; stronger compositions might suit a dining or living area.
Framing adds presence
A frame — especially with matting — gives the artwork more weight on the wall. Even smaller prints can feel substantial when properly framed.
Positioning with furniture
Hang the artwork so it’s visually anchored to the furniture below it. As a general guide, artwork above a sofa or bed should span about two-thirds the width of the furniture.
