ABOUT LIMITED EDITION PRINTS
Unless otherwise stated, artworks are printed on premium Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm — a white cotton artist paper with a soft texture and lightly defined felt structure. It enhances the painterly quality of each image, offering rich depth and a museum-grade finish. The paper is acid- and lignin-free, ISO 9706 certified, and designed for longevity and to last generations.
The combination of the wide tonal range of the printing inks and premium fine art paper enhances the tonal depth, detail, and painterly quality of Kirsten’s artwork.
Museum-quality refers to the use of premium giclée printing processes and museum-grade fine art materials designed for exceptional longevity and colour stability.
Giclée printing uses high-resolution pigment inks with a wide tonal range to achieve rich detail, depth, and colour accuracy on museum-grade fine art paper.
With proper care, these prints are designed to last 100 years or more and have the potential to become family heirlooms passed down through generations.
See our Elevate Art Collection Museum Grade Prints guide here
To help preserve the longevity of your artwork, limited edition prints should be framed behind UV-protective glass and displayed away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and damp conditions.
We also recommend using a mat or spacer between the print and glass to help preserve the artwork over time. Read our framing guide here
ABOUT OPEN EDITION PRINTS
Open edition prints are produced using giclée printing on archival fine art paper, offering beautiful colour and tonal quality for the home or interior space.
Open editions are unlimited print runs.
Archival fine art paper is designed to retain beautiful colour and quality over time.
Museum-grade paper is positioned as our premium collector-level fine art paper used for limited editions.
To help preserve the longevity of your artwork, open edition prints should be framed and displayed away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and damp conditions. UV-protective glass is recommended for additional protection.
We also recommend using a mat or spacer between the print and glass to help preserve the artwork over time. Read our framing guide here
ABOUT CANVAS PRINTS
Fine art canvas prints are produced using premium canvas and the same high-end giclée printing process as our fine art paper prints.
Finished with a Hahnemühle matte protective varnish, the result is a beautiful non-reflective canvas with rich tonal quality and a refined gallery-quality finish.
With proper care, canvas prints are made to last.
To help preserve the artwork, we recommend displaying canvas prints away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and damp conditions.
Canvas prints are lighter and easier to hang yourself than large artwork framed behind glass.
Before ordering, we recommend measuring your wall space carefully to ensure you are happy with the scale and height of artwork. See Size Chart on product page for guidance.
As a general guide, artwork displayed above furniture often looks best when it spans approximately two-thirds of the width of the piece below it. See our art hanging guide here
Each canvas is custom made to order and available in three finish options depending on how you would like to display your artwork.
Available in New Zealand, Australia, and USA.
UNFRAMED ROLLED CANVAS
Canvas is carefully rolled and shipped in a protective tube, ready to take to your local framer for stretching and framing.
STRETCHED CANVAS
Canvas is professionally stretched and arrives ready to hang.
The artwork does not wrap around the sides of the canvas, creating a clean, contemporary gallery-style finish.
STRETCHED & FRAMED CANVAS
Canvas is professionally stretched and finished in a floating tray frame.
The frame helps define the artwork within the space while creating a refined gallery-style presentation.
PRINT TYPES
All artworks are produced as giclee prints using premium fine art materials designed for beautiful colour, tonal detail and longevity.
The differences are:
LIMITED EDITION PRINTS
Limited Edition fine art paper prints are premium collectible artworks created in strictly limited quantities. Once the edition size has sold out, no further prints are produced in that size.
Printed on premium museum-grade cotton rag paper, each artwork features the artist’s signature and includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
Limited Editions are designed for collectors and those seeking a more exclusive fine art piece.
Limited editions apply specifically to the stated fine art paper format and edition size.
Canvas prints are considered a separate print format and substrate from the limited edition paper print.
OPEN EDITION PRINTS
Open editions designed to be easy to buy, easy to frame and easy to live with.
Printed on archival fine art paper, they offer beautiful colour and tonal quality while providing a more accessible fine art option for the home or interior space.
Open edition prints are not limited in quantitiy.
Paper prints are framed behind either standard or UV protective glass, with a mat or spacer between print and glass for presentation and protection.
CANVAS PRINTS
Canvas prints are designed as a ready-to-hang artwork solution.
Printed on premium fine art canvas using archival inks, each canvas is finished with a protective non-reflective coating and stretched over a timber support frame.
Optional float or tray framing is available to complete the gallery-style presentation.
Unlike paper prints, canvas prints do not require glass, making them lighter and easier to hang, particularly in larger sizes.
