Artist Statement
Moke Lake, a hidden gem just outside of Queenstown, is cradled by freshwater wetlands, farmland, and towering mountains. Its sheltered location often keeps the water calm and serene, creating stunning reflections on the lake’s surface.
On this early autumn morning, after photographing the lake, I was captivated by the golden hues of the mountains and grasses, the low-hanging clouds drifting across the peaks, and the soft light brushing the mountain slopes.
