Canvas Framing Options
Once canvas is stretched - you can choose to add a tray frame for a finished gallery look. Sometimes a tray frame isn't necessary, depending on the style and look you prefer.
For Paper Prints
Our Limited Edition fine art prints include built-in white border for a gallery-style finish and flexibility when framing. Border is scaled by size and weighted (slightly bigger) at bottom.
Print sizes are the total paper size with border. See the table below.
Size Tier | Print Size (incl. border) | Image Size |
Petit | 290 x 400mm | 200 x 300mm |
Small | 400 x 560mm | 280 x 420mm |
Medium | 520 x 730mm | 380 x 570mm |
Large | 720 x 1040 mm | 560 x 840mm |
XL | 1000 x 1430mm | 800 x 1200mm |
XXL | custom | 1000 x 1500mm |
Framing Options:
Whether you choose to keep the border visible, frame to the edge of image, or add a mat board, this guide will help you discuss the right options with your framer and protect your artwork for years to come.
Keep the Margins Visible
With a standard frame profile (e.g. 2cm front edge) - you’ll lose approximately 7mm to 10mm from each side of the border where the frame overlaps the print.
None of the image will be lost, and you'll retain the gallery-style finish.
Frame to the Edge of the Image
Your framer will trim away the white border to the image, and you’ll lose approximately 7mm to 10mm from each side of the image itself, depending on the frame profile, as the frame edge overlaps the print.
Add a Mat Board
You can choose to show some or none of the provided border — the built-in margin gives you flexibility and options.
Framing & Glass Options
-
If framing without a mat board, we recommend asking your framer to use spacers so the glass does not touch the print.
-
For glass, we recommend UV70 non-reflective glass to reduce glare and protect your print.
-
If the artwork will hang somewhere with no direct sunlight, standard glass may be an option.
